I did this Blog for all those Hip hop lovers and those wanting to know more about it. Those who see
Hip Hop beyond being just music or rhymes but instead those who classify it as
a way of life, culture, a fascinating love and a ground breaking
expression, bringing all its elements into one piece. Hip Hop to me brings
undeniable happiness and warmth to the heart knowing that it will always be
there, just like Common says in "I used to love H.E.R".
Some say it started
in the west, some say east, wherever Hip Hop may have originated, I'm very
grateful it did because it has turned into a lifestyle. I'm not exactly sure
what I'm aiming for at this moment in time, but who knows maybe some day ill be
working for JAY-Z, or Def Jam records, or perhaps my own record
label. I would release only the best MC's from around the world.
Blending a little underground music with a new flavor and a new
style but still reminiscing on what got us to where we are today. Although many
may believe Hip Hop is dead, i do not. There are so many artists out on the
streets that have not been recognized for their extraordinary talents. So
if you ever come across one, please give them the time of day and LISTEN
because they might just be sharing their own lives in one simple verse.
I love that you gave a bit of insight into history oh Hip-Hop. Since I'm not a fan I wouldn't have known these things. I also like the fact you've discussed what you'd like to do in the future. It helps really make the blog about you.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very interesting and thoughtful blog. I do believe there is more to each genre of music including Hip-Hop. I love hip-hop but I'm more of a rock/metal guy. Being that, I have a certain way of life that I can also relate to a music lover like you even if it is hip-hop you love. There is so much sweat and blood involved in music to take into account and many people see past it. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI love the purpose and reasoning behind the reason you started your blog. Music is very important to me as well. I listen to every genre imaginable, including hip-hop. This style of music has been getting a lot of negative feedback over the years and I believe it is because a lot of listeners do not like the fact that music grows just as we do. No style of music will ever sound the same for the long run. It will always adapt and change over time. I love that you are taking the time to stick up for hip-hop and it's community.
